‘I have been working at Elektrolas since 2018. After my MBO training in Retail and an HBO study in Integral Safety, I spent several years as assistant manager at the supermarket chain where I previously had my part-time job. I now apply the experience and knowledge I gained in my retail years on a daily basis in my work at Elektrolas. Not only did my education provide a good general foundation, but from study, internship and work experience I also gained a lot of knowledge about how to present yourself - and thus your company - in a good way. The person who speaks to someone first is an ambassador and therefore influences the image of Elektrolas.’

‘Listening well to customer requirements is important in my job. Moreover, because the successful sale of technical products is usually accompanied by good explanations and demos, I have followed various targeted courses in our own Elektrolas Welding School. After all, I think it is important that everyone leaves the phone with a satisfied feeling, with the right information and products. Advice on wire, gas, torches and gloves should be given as a first point of contact. So I read a lot of professional literature, talk to suppliers and regularly search the internet to stay up to date. And if questions become more specific, I can always contact my colleagues. In addition to manning the phone, I also take care of internet sales of used cars.’

‘By nature, I am quite outgoing. I get energy from contact with people, both at the company and privately. I am by no means a stay-at-home dad and I have a large group of friends with whom I regularly go out. For instance, to a pub, festival or sports match. Sport is a hobby. I play football, run, mountain bike and crossfit. I am happy in my work. That's a good thing, because I don't like job-hopping and don't want to work somewhere five days a week without enjoying myself. Elektrolas has a great team and great mutual cooperation. We take our job seriously, but there is also room for relaxation. For example, our lunches are provided every day and on Friday afternoons we have drinks.’
