In December 2023, Elektrolas welcomed a new force to the team, Lisa. As assistant to the Products Team, Lisa combines a rich background in metalworking with a strong commitment to personal contact and customer satisfaction. Which puts her in a unique position to understand and meet our customers' needs.

Trust and mutual respect
Lisa's background as a construction benchfitter, work planner, buyer and planner gives her additional understanding of the challenges her customers face on a daily basis. ‘I understand that you may need something urgent because production simply has to go on. Then you also want to be helped quickly and seriously. I cannot always give immediate answers right now, but I will find out and get back to you soon.’ 

Lisa's aim is to be not only a service provider, but also a trusted advisor and a fixture for her customers. ‘I strongly believe in building relationships based on trust and mutual respect. I get energy from being in contact with people and being able to help them out.’ Which is crucial in her goal of making every customer interaction positive and productive.

Learned to listen
The daily work of Lisa includes preparing orders and quotes and supporting customers with their questions and needs over the phone. What really makes work fun for her are the customer visits. Every Thursday, Lisa takes a route along various customers in Waalwijk and the immediate area, where she not only provides product demonstrations and stocks, but also takes the time to speak to customers in person to get a feel for what is going on and how Elektrolas can support them.

‘That direct customer contact is where I get the most satisfaction. I ran my own business as a medical pedicurist for ten years. People's happiness when I had been there, that's what I did it for. The chat. But in the process, I also learned to listen and respond to people's needs.’ She now also applies those skills in her current role.

Relaxation
That Lisa does not sit still at home either and seeks relaxation with people around her is evident, for instance, in her sports. She does so in group classes. ‘I find it more motivating to train with others than alone. Besides, I also meet new people this way.’ Lisa also likes to go out with her family and her motorbike.

Vision of the future
‘At Elektrolas, I feel at home. As soon as I came in, the atmosphere and collaborative corporate culture made me happy. We are one team. In addition, Elektrolas is good to its staff and moves with the times. The technology we work with and always looking where opportunities lie. Elektrolas has grown a lot in a short time.’ The way the company is doing now, Lisa is sure that further growth is possible. ‘There is plenty to improve and innovate in the welding world. You may not always know immediately whether you are doing it the right way, so the trick is to adjust along the way. Elektrolas has mastered that.’
