Marcel

With more than a decade of experience as a welder in the food industry and an impressive range of qualifications, including IWP, IWT and IWI-C, Marcel has become a true master of his trade. He joined the Elektrolas team in June 2023, where he uses his skills and passion for quality to advise, support and advance customers.

Ambition
Marcel's career started on the work floor, where he worked as a welder for many years. "I was drawn to the welding world because I was introduced to it at a young age. My father has been in construction and metals and there are more welders in the family." His ambition to reach the highest possible within the welding world encountered hurdles, but that did not stop Marcel from continuing his development. Through evening studies and perseverance, he advanced to become a welding coordinator. His expertise ranges from advising in welding processes and materials to supervising, certifying and (practically) training welders, inspectors and welding coordinators. "I see it as my mission to take the quality of welding to the next level."

Bridging the gap
At Elektrolas, Marcel is committed to bridging the gap between theory and practice. "With customers, I translate complex welding data into understandable instructions for the work floor, always monitoring practicability and quality. My background as a welder helps me to provide realistic and effective solutions." Marcel strongly believes in the importance of good communication and the power of education to prevent misunderstandings and quality problems in welding.

Honest
Marcel's work at Elektrolas is diverse: from advising on special projects such as working with high-grade steel to supporting customers such as boat builders, light construction companies to cap manufacturers. "I ensure that customers can move forward and use accumulated knowledge to continue to grow independently."

What typifies Marcel is his independent and honest approach. He is not afraid to give difficult feedback when necessary to improve quality. No matter how difficult that is sometimes. His greatest fulfillment comes from the satisfaction of customers and trainees after a successful project or training course.

Passions
Outside work, Marcel is often busy keeping up with the latest developments in welding technology. But he also finds time for relaxation by gaming, mountain biking and motorcycling. These passions for engineering and adventure are reflected in his work, where he is always looking for new methods and technologies to improve the quality of welding.
