You build the best relationship by striking the right chord
As Management Assistant, Neeltje Cales keeps the internal facilities at Elektrolas in order so that her colleagues can concentrate on their core tasks. She does not like half-measures. In fact: by structuring her work tightly, she wants to make the best possible contribution to the team. Neeltje says: ‘If the facilities are well organised, this is positive for the quality of Elektrolas, for the atmosphere in which we do our work and therefore also for the impression our customers get when they work with Elektrolas.’
Optimal
‘I have been part of Elektrolas since January 2021. In my position, I support the staff department and therefore deal internally with the entire Elektrolas Five. We ensure that our colleagues from all departments can perform their tasks optimally, without having to worry about peripheral issues. Do all current insurance policies still cover the current situation? Is the building clean and presentable inside and out? How do we plan the internal renovation? What will we do at the next company outing? Do we have enough bread and spreads for the colleagues' lunch? Divergent tasks, all with the aim of relieving the team as much as possible.’
Structure
‘I am a perfectionist who likes structure but certainly does not shy away from new organisational work. Life with two young children doesn't let itself be controlled anyway. Besides, buying a 1940s house and the subsequent renovation has shaped me quite a bit in that respect. It was a rigorous step, as I suddenly had to call on talents I didn't know I had. Blood, sweat and tears and a step into the deep end have apparently been good for my mindset. The beauty of this development is that it gives you room for new encounters with people who in turn influence and beautify your life in different ways. We are huge Burgundians and love socialising with friends.’
Mutual click
‘When the dynamics are right and when there is a mutual click like here, I am very loyal. I really enjoy working at Elektrolas. It is a cosy company. The team consists of people who, although all different, have a common mentality: we are team players. That makes each of us a positive part of the bigger picture. Everyone likes to go the extra mile for others. I like it when my colleagues feel that they are well taken care of. Now that I think about it, that's a nice similarity between my colleagues and our customers. Because, of course, it works exactly the same way for our customers: the best relationship is built by striking the right chord.’
Reliable partner
‘The fact that our customers experience Elektrolas as a reliable partner is the reason we continue to grow. For instance, when it comes to the innovative techniques within the Welding Workshop of Tomorrow. Think of the possibilities of the cobot in which Elektrolas shows them the way. The number of training courses and workshops is also still rising. We recently created extra classrooms in our building. Sometimes I think: maybe we should start looking for bigger premises.’
