The Dutch Institute for Welding Technology (NIL) is an independent foundation which, for more than 85 years, has promoted the collective interests of companies, institutions and individuals working in the field of welding, adhesives and other permanent joining techniques. They maintain a strong (inter)national network in which cooperation in the field of education and technical innovations is central. NIL focuses on three pillars: education, certification and information. Elektrolas has been NIL's Authorized Organization for Welding Qualifications (LK) since 2013 and for Welding Method Qualifications (LMK) since 2017. In 2021, in the area of education, Elektrolas is also assigned by the NIL as an Approved Training Institute.
