What is a Procedure Qualification Record (PQR)?
With a welding Procedure Qualification Record, you demonstrate that your welding method achieves the correct mechanical value. Do you have a new welding method in your welding company? Then you need a Procedure Qualification Record to meet the welding quality requirements. In addition to welder qualifications, Elektrolas can also certify welding methods. The qualification is carried out according to the European and/or American standard.
In practice, a welding company often provides a wide variety of welding work, different materials are welded and different welds are used. Each welding method must be described and then a Procedure Qualification Record is used to prove that the quality is in order. In many cases, this is therefore mandatory.
Why a Procedure Qualification Record (PQR)?
A Procedure Qualification Record is carried out to ensure that the quality of the welding work is guaranteed. The welding work must meet the set standards, for example NEN-EN-ISO 15614.
By having every welding method in the company qualified, the customers of your welding company know that the quality of the welded work is up to scratch. In Europe and America, welding work must meet strict quality requirements. Elektrolas is authorized to perform welding method qualification for both European and American standards.
With a welding method qualification you demonstrate that your welding company has the right welding technology knowledge and skills to weld according to the applicable standards.
