Workshop drawing reading
The technical drawing is still the most important information carrier in engineering. Much communication takes place by means of such a drawing. When several departments have to deal with the same technical drawing, it is necessary that everyone interprets the drawing in the same way. Otherwise, it can have major consequences. For example, the quality of the product is compromised, and the production process is delayed.
Intended for
Planners, foremen, (starting) assemblers / welders and anyone who works with technical drawings daily.
Because the ability to properly read and interpret technical drawings is not only interesting for new or beginning employees in the production but also for employees with more experience, we introduce next to basic drawing reading also advanced drawing reading. Here we go deeper into certain aspects.
During this workshop we not only pay attention to interpreting drawings, but also to the requirements that a technical drawing must meet as described in the standard NEN-ISO-128-1.
Reading technical drawings (basic)
For new employees in production, it is not always a matter of course to be able to read and understand technical drawings properly. The aim of this workshop is to increase the technical knowledge and the ability to independently read and interpret drawings.
During the workshop the following topics are covered:
- European and American standard
- Projection
- View
- Basic
- Lines
- Flatness marks
- Weld designations
We schedule three half-day sessions for this workshop. Cost is 525 euro excluding VAT.
Reading drawings (advanced)
The more insight into and knowledge of working drawings, the greater the chance that any errors in a drawing will be spotted at an early stage. In addition, it is easier to think along about possible improvements. In this way, work can be done faster and more efficiently.
During the workshop the following topics will be discussed:
- Title block and parts list
- Section
- Dimensional descriptions
- Dimensional tolerances and fits
- ISO fitting systems and
